Enjoy an active summer holiday in Seefeld

During the summer months too, Seefeld is THE ‘Nordic’ destination!

An amazing 266 kilometres of running and Nordic walking trails, a new summer roller-ski circuit, biathlon facilities, a unique Alpine location and lots and lots of fresh mountain air – the Region Seefeld is a top-class ‘Nordic’ destination during the summer months too.

Nordic Walking – an up-to-the-minute sport

This healthy, joint-friendly endurance sport, for which all you need are suitable shoes and poles, is easy to learn and ideal for both beginners (as well as beginners to exercise in general) and seasoned athletes. Created in 2010 and leading from the Casino Arena into the Möserertal valley, Seefeld’s roller ski circuit can be modified to various levels of difficulty making it ideal for training sessions tailored to athletes’ individual needs. Covering a total distance of 3.3 kilometres and 3 metres in width, it is primarily used by teams for summer training purposes.

An additional health and fitness boosting effect is offered ‘automatically’, so to speak, thanks to the region’s optimum altitude of 1,200 to 1,400 metres. The air at this elevation contains a little less oxygen which, after a short acclimatisation period, stimulates the cardiovascular system as well as enhancing metabolic and respiratory efficiency.
